Interested in strengthening your knowledge of workplace health and technical safety in Nova Scotia?

Join the Strait Area Chamber of Commerce and the Safety Branch of the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration for a free virtual webinar on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at noon (12:00pm).

Safety Advisor Blaise MacNeil will introduce the role of the Safety Branch and its Occupational Health and Safety and Technical Safety divisions. He will also provide an introductory overview of workplace health and safety, Workplace Harassment Regulations, the Safer Workplaces Together Injury Prevention initiative, and practical Safety Branch tools and resources.

This 45–50-minute session is designed for employers, new and young workers, newcomers to Canada, recent arrivals to Nova Scotia, and anyone seeking a practical introduction to workplace safety requirements and resources.
