Matos Apiary

We are a family-operated farm in Cape Breton, dedicated to sustainable apiculture and the development of resilient honey bee genetics. Since 2017, our mission has been to breed locally adapted queen bees that excel in the Atlantic Canadian climate, with a primary focus on mite resistance, winter hardiness, and high productivity. Beyond our breeding operations, we take pride in offering local honey and handcrafted beeswax products.
